Abstract
The daily intake of nutrition, physical growth rates, parasitic infection and hemoglobin content of 187 inmates, aged 3 to 17 years, of two local orphanages in Pusan had been surveyed from July 1,1971 through December 31, 1971, and the following findings have been obtained.
I .Nutritive Conditions:

Also, in the. case of V-B2, a difference was noted in two age brackets with the 4-6-year group averaging 58 per cent of and with the 7-17-year group showing almost the equal amount with the Recommended Allowances.
II. Physical Growth Rates:
The mean value of their height, weight and chest circumference fell far short of the Korea¢¥s Standard Physical Growth Rates, reflecting their poor physical conditions.
III. Infections by Parasites:
The direct method employed in the survey revealed their parasitic infectious rate standing at 79. 1 per cent, of which the infection by Ascaris accounting for 57 per cent, by Tricho Cephalus Trichiurus for 53 per cent and by assorted infection for 47 per cent, respectively.
